So, I love wrapping paper. I have boxes of it down in my storage space. Does this stop me from buying more? It does not. (You know how it always works out that the heftiest tube of wrapping paper you own is always the one you like the least? I feel like I’ve been using this one tube for years! I’m also hoarding some of the ones I extra love because I’m almost out of them, like the brief period when you could buy wrapping paper in the famous Scalamandre zebra .) And as much as I like a random, hodgepodge of a tree, I also love a coordinated wrapping paper situation. (I also like to use random stuff for wrapping paper — for years, I was using old scraps of cool wallpaper. It’s also fun to use tea towels, or vintage cloth napkins.)
