Without medical help, the then-19-year-old freshman made a series of unsafe decisions — mistakes driven by extreme psychological stress.
Those are among the findings of an expert in nursing and midwifery recently consulted by Moore’s defense in the aggravated manslaughter case against her.
Liliya Passman found no evidence that Moore intended to hurt or kill her newborn.
Passman, an advanced registered nurse practitioner and certified midwife whose report notes she has assisted in more than 2,000 births, concluded instead that the child’s death was “accidental,” and not the result of neglect or willful harm.
