Matthew Bennett Hirsch will become a bar mitzvah Saturday morning, Dec. 6, at B’nai Jeshurun Congregation. Matthew is the son of Michelle and Evan Hirsch of Orange and the brother of Shaina. He is the grandson of Carmie and Todd Stein, and Diane and Marv Hirsch, and the great-grandson of Gerry Stein. Matthew attends University School. For his mitzvah project, Matthew volunteers weekly with Friendship Circle’s Kulanu Sunday School and will be donating a portion of his bar mitzvah gifts to the Beber Camp Scholarship Fund.
