An online petition calling for a dog to receive an honorary Oscar for his performance in a critically acclaimed horror movie has garnered over 43,000 signatures.
Indy, a Nova Scotia duck tolling retriever, earned rave reviews for his performance in writer-director Ben Leonberg’s low-budget indie horror Good Boy . Now fans are calling for Indy to be given the greatest acting honor of them all.
A petition published on thepetitionsite.com, titled "Tell the Academy: Give ‘Good Boy’ Star Indy the Dog an Honorary Oscar!" has racked up over 43,000 signatures and is closing in on an initial target of 45,000.
