On Wednesday (December 3), the US president, 79, announced that he has rescinded the programme put in place by the Biden administration. The scheme aimed at encouraging the sale of electric vehicles.

The plans, proposed by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, will reduce the fuel economy requirements for models made between 2022 and 2031. The fuel economy requirements are the standards that regulate how far our vehicles can travel on a gallon of fuel.
