A search warrant served at a Visalia home led to the seizure of fentanyl packaged for sale and two arrests on Wednesday, police said.
The Visalia Police Department said its Narcotics Unit, assisted by the HOPE Team, searched a residence in the 200 block of North Granite Street as part of an ongoing investigation into local fentanyl sales. Officers found fentanyl prepared for distribution inside the home.
Police arrested Sarah Ruiz, 41, on multiple narcotics-related charges. Another suspect, Mario Fierro, 60, attempted to run during the warrant service but was quickly detained and arrested on outstanding warrants, officials said.
Both Ruiz and Fierro were booked into the Tulare County Adult Pre-Trial Facility.
