You told me the story of how your mommy talked to you about getting a puppy during her wedding dinner at Bud & Alley’s restaurant while eating giant shrimp, which were almost as big as me when you first saw me.

She said you could pick the puppy you liked the best.

I remember seeing you in the pet store, standing with all of those giants. You were smaller, closer to my height, with long, pretty hair.

You were smiling and had a twinkle in your eye.

You tugged on your mommy’s sweater and pointed at me, and I barked and jumped, rolled and wiggled my tail to get your attention.

When they handed me to you, I knew that we were going to be best friends.
