Passionate about his work, John Gardiner only wanted to find an audience.
Whether it was through self-publishing two books, or simply posting his slice-of-life stories and musings to social media, the Wallaceburg author has made a name for himself in local literary circles during the years.
He also has logged many kilometres on the road, taking part in out-of-town readings.
But now at the age of 72, Gardiner has his first published work, Life in the Deep End, thanks to Manor House Publishing in Ancaster, Ont.
“It took me around 40 years to find a publisher,” he said with a laugh. “It feels really good. It really does.
“Up until now, I’ve been sort of on my own in this writing thing, pursuing my dream. Now, there’s somebody else in the game with me.”
