OMAHA, Neb. —
The Metropolitan Utilities District raised its rates for customers.
The average residential customer will see a $33 increase each year on their combined gas and water bill, MUD said.
MUD said the increase is part of the 2026 budget, which continues funding for critical infrastructure investments.
The new rates will take effect on Jan. 2. Anyone experiencing financial hardship can call 402-554-6666.
