If you're an AARP member and a Facebook user, you may be entitled to a payout as part of a $12.5 million stemming from class action lawsuit, but time is running out to file a claim.
The suit alleged the organization disclosed the identities and video-viewing activity of certain aarp.org members without consent. It also argued AARP then provided the information to Facebook parent company Meta.
AARP denied the allegations and that it did anything improper or unlawful, and agreed in July of 2025 to pay $12.5 million to settle the claims against it, the settlement administrator website said.
