TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - A tragic hit-and-run incident on the southside of Tucson has left a pedestrian dead, prompting an urgent search for the suspect vehicle.
According to the Tucson Police Department, the fatal hit-and-run happened on Dec. 2 around 7 p.m. Operations Division South officers and the Tucson Fire Department responded to the 200 block of East Drexel Road after reports of a pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle.
Upon arrival, officers found the pedestrian, who had already succumbed to their injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
TPD said evidence suggests the pedestrian was crossing Drexel Road from north to south when they were struck by a vehicle traveling west on the roadway. The vehicle reportedly fled the scene, leaving parts behind that indicate it is a white
