Dr. Addison Montgomery is scrubbing back in on “Grey’s Anatomy.” Variety has learned exclusively that Kate Walsh is set to reprise her role as the fan favorite character in an upcoming episode of the ABC medical drama’s ongoing 22nd season.

Walsh will appear in the “Grey’s Anatomy” episode airing on Jan. 29, titled “Strip That Down.” Exact plot details are currently being kept under wraps.

This will mark Walsh’s first appearance on “Grey’s Anatomy” since she returned in a recurring role in Seasons 18 and 19, with her most recent appearance coming in the Season 19 episode “Gunpowder and Lead.” She originally joined the show in its first season and was a main cast member through Season 3. She then made multiple guest appearances through Season 8, while she also led the spinoff series
