Two people were stabbed to death Thursday morning at an Italian deli on Long Island , authorities said.
One person was arrested in the case , according to Nassau County police. Neither the victims, a man and a woman, nor the suspect have not been publicly identified.
Witnesses said the victims were an elderly couple that ran the deli in Bethpage , and the suspect was their son, WABC reported.
“I just saw the son walking out and he said, ‘I just stabbed my parents,’ and that was it,” Joe Boros told the station. “This is the worst thing that ever happened to me in my lifetime, and I’m 97 years old.”
