What started out as a normal workday for staff at the Cigar Chief in Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory quickly turned into a violent scuffle that none of them want to experience again.
On Monday, just before 5 p.m., a man and a woman walked into the Airport Road business armed with a baseball bat and demanded pipe tobacco.

According to Shane Winslow, who was working in the back of the shop, he could hear the demand in the man’s voice.
“The initial person tried to say something to him,” Winslow said. “Being present definitely puts you on your toes because you can understand someone’s concerned tone verses a joking tone and he was not joking.”
Other employees at the front of the store described the man as incoherent and mumbling, with a pipe in his mouth. They also recalled
