INGLEWOOD, Calif. − The Eagles will not have star defensive tackle Jalen Carter available when they play the Los Angeles Chargers on Dec. 8.
ESPN was the first to report the news that Carter is having a procedure, not surgery, on both of his shoulders. It is an injury that has plagued Carter since the beginning of training camp.
An NFL source confirmed Carter's injury.
It's not known how long Carter will be out, but the report indicates that Carter won't be placed on injured reserve, meaning that the Eagles could get him back before the end of the regular season.
