Alex Bregman is on the mind of many Boston Red Sox fans these days as they wait to see whether the club will re-sign Bregman. With other teams like the Detroit Tigers and possibly the Philadelphia Phillies vying for Bregman’s services, a return to Boston is far from guaranteed for the 31-year-old.

Even so, Bregman is such a good fit in Boston, that many pundits feel overwhelmingly so that he will be wearing a Red Sox uniform once again in 2026 (and beyond).

MLB Network’s Yonder Alonso is one of those analysts. On Thursday, Alonso communicated his belief that Bregman will return to the Red Sox, despite offers from other teams.
