Lehigh University head football coach Kevin Cahill has been named the Eddie Robinson Award winner as the top coach in NCAA Division I FCS, Stats Perform announced Thursday.

Cahill, who led the Mountain Hawks to a perfect 12-0 record in the regular season, emerged from a field of 15 finalists to claim the prestigious award. He received 136 points, including 12 first-place votes, narrowly beating North Dakota State’s Tim Polasek by seven points.

The third-year head coach orchestrated a remarkable turnaround at Lehigh. After going 2-9 in his debut season in 2023, Cahill guided the program to back-to-back Patriot League championships and consecutive FCS playoff appearances. This year’s spotless regular season marks just the sixth in program history, with the 12 wins matching a school record
