The BBC has just released a first look at its upcoming star-studded sports drama about former England men's football manager Gareth Southgate, Dear England . It was inspired by James Graham's Olivier-award winning theatre play of the same name.

Played by The Handmaid's Tale star Joseph Fiennes, who reprises his role from the play, Southgate fights hard to break England's pattern of loss, as the show updates the first version of the play to include the Euro 2024 semi-final.

Starring opposite Fiennes are Doctor Who star Jodie Whittaker as the team's psychologist Pippa Grange, and The Crown 's Jason Watkins as former FA chairman Greg Dyke.

Cast is rounded out by John Hodgkinson, who reprises his stage role as former FA chairman Greg Clarke, as well as Will Antenbring as Harry Kane,
