Skullcandy (remember them) has announced the revival and launch of its world-renowned Aviator franchise with the Aviator 900 ANC headphones.

Initially launched in 2010, the Skullcandy Aviator line was well-known for its design, superior sound quality and many celebrity endorsements. Skullcandy doesn’t want to call it a comeback; instead, as mentioned, it’s a revival.

Either way, the new Aviator 900 ANC headphones are great-sounding, with bass-heavy, immersive 3D sound from 40mm drivers on each side. Right out of the box, the sound was excellent, but the Skullcandy app let me fine-tune it to high-quality levels, including personalized EQ settings and three EQ modes (music, podcast, bass boost).
