EastEnders are saying that they've ‘worked out’ a revenge plot against Zoe Slater is on the way on the BBC soap as ‘queen’ Sam Mitchell returned to Albert Square.

Sam was initially portrayed by Danniella Westbrook and quickly became a fan favourite character after she was introduced in 1990, months after her onscreen brothers Steve McFadden and Ross Kemp joined the programme.

Often battling with her brothers for attention from their mum, Barbara Windsor’s Peggy Mitchell, Sam originally left Albert Square in 1993. Danniella would reappear from 1995 to 1996 and from 1999 to 2000 as the character.
