The Education Secretary made a statement in the Commons on Thursday about the ‘sickening case’ of paedophile nursery worker Vincent Chan.

The Liberal Democrats have asked the Education Secretary to “seriously consider” mandating CCTV in nurseries in response to the case of paedophile nursery worker Vincent Chan.

Speaking in the Commons on Thursday, Liberal Democrats education spokesperson Munira Wilson said CCTV had been “vital” in getting convictions in a similar case in her Twickenham constituency and said its use in the nursery in Camden may have led to Vincent Chan being discovered earlier.
