COLUMBIA — Landon Duckworth , a four-star South Carolina football commit signed with the Gamecocks despite reports he might flip to LSU and new coach Lane Kiffin .

Duckworth signed on Dec. 4, the second of a three-day early signing period. He is the 13th recruit to sign of 14 commits, with Triston Lewis still unsigned. Lewis is signing at 5:30 p.m. ET on Dec. 4. South Carolina flipped four-star edge rusher Julian Walker from Michigan hours before Duckworth signed.

Duckworth is from Jackson, Alabama, and is the No. 6 player from the state and No. 10 quarterback in his class according to the 247Sports Composite.

The quarterback had been committed to coach Shane Beamer's program since July 18 but went on a visit to LSU in September, before Brian Kelly was fired.
