OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Three juveniles have been arrested in connection with creating and sharing obscene material generated using artificial intelligence technology, the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office said.

The investigation began Nov. 19 when the sheriff’s office received multiple reports from parents and school officials about an image being shared among students at a local Fremont County school. The image depicted multiple juveniles in a state of undress.

Deputies discovered multiple digitally altered photographs on cellular devices belonging to students at the school. The material featured multiple juvenile victims and was being shared between students on social media platforms, according to the sheriff’s office.
