OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - An Omaha man was sentenced to more than 58 years in federal prison for fentanyl and gun crimes, prosecutors said.
Jeron Morris, 33, was sentenced this week in federal court after pleading guilty to the charges.
Prosecutors said they searched Morris’s home in May of last year after learning it was a possible stash house. The search resulted in agents recovering more than 1,000 fentanyl pills.
Agents also found two loaded handguns and more than $1,000 in cash during the search.
Morris received an extended sentence because of past federal convictions for bank robbery, according to prosecutors.
Investigators said Morris started visiting the stash house while finishing a prison sentence at an area halfway house.
