JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - The Midsouth Association of Independent Schools (MAIS) has released its punishments after a video went viral showing a fight between Brookhaven Academy and Lamar School during the Class 4A, Division 3 State Championship.
The MAIS AAC has now issued an official press release detailing the penalties for each school stemming from its role in the fight that occurred in the second quarter of the contest.
According to the release, Brookhaven Academy coaches Hunter Przytarski and Bubba Keene have both been fined $1,000. They will not be allowed to attend any MAIS athletic events until the end of Brookhaven Academy’s 2026 football season.
Both coaches will have to appear before the AAC to present their reasons for being allowed to return to coaching in the MAIS.
