Blood Assurance says it sent emergency O-positive blood units to Erlanger Medical Center following a crash on I-75 that killed three people in Dalton.
While the organization was able to meet the hospital’s immediate needs, officials say the response placed a major strain on its O-positive inventory.

As of now, all lanes have reopened on I-75.
Now, Blood Assurance is urging O-positive donors to give as soon as possible to help rebuild supplies.
