The Boston Red Sox have been connected to Joe Ryan in trade rumors for many months now.

Ryan was falsely reported to be headed to Boston at the 2025 trade deadline, and desires for an eventual union are not dead amongst Red Sox fans.

Unfortunately, there hasn’t been a ton of buzz out of the Minnesota Twins’ camp indicating that they are overeager to trade Ryan, who is expected to land a salary somewhere around $5.8 million in 2026 via arbitration (a bargain if he continues to pitch like an ace or No. 2).

If and when Ryan’s availability increases, the Red Sox won’t be Ryan’s lone suitor with capable pockets, either. Far from it.
