ST. PAUL, Minn. — The Minnesota Department of Public Safety's Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) has arrested Bryce James Campbell in connection with the February 6, 2024, fire that destroyed the Lutsen Resort Lodge. Campbell, 41, who owns the lodge, was apprehended on December 3 in Southfield, Michigan, and faces charges including three felony counts of arson and one felony count of insurance fraud.

BCA Superintendent Drew Evans said Campbell's actions prioritized personal gain over the lives and livelihoods of employees and the community, resulting in the loss of a cherished Minnesota landmark.
