NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries enforcement agents are investigating the illegal shooting of a Louisiana black bear. The bear was found dead in Concordia Parish on Nov. 20.
Agents were notified of a dead bear off Blount Road on the Richard K. Yancy Wildlife Management Area and determined the adult male, weighing about 375 pounds, had been illegally shot.

A reward of up to $3,500 is being offered for information that leads to a conviction. The reward includes $2,500 from the Safari Club International Acadiana Chapter and up to $1,000 from Louisiana Operation Game Thief.
