YPSILANTI TWP., MI - Police are investigating after a woman was found severely injured outside an Ypsilanti Township apartment complex.
Police responded in the early hours of Thursday, Dec. 4 to the 1400 block of Chestnut Drive for a report of a person struggling to stand near the apartment complex, said Cmdr. Eugene Rush, spokesperson for the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office.
When officers arrived, they found a woman in her 40s who was severely injured, Rush said. It was unclear how she was injured. Additional information about her injuries was not immediately available.
No crashed cars or witnesses were in the area, he added.
The woman was taken to the hospital, where she remains as of Thursday evening, Rush said.
