NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - There’s a meeting Thursday afternoon over whether Wilson County Schools should get a permit to drip sewage and wastewater onto the Cumberland River Watershed.

This issue is popping up since LaGuardo North Central Elementary opened without a permanent system to manage sewage and wastewater.

The state Environment and Conservation Department will looking into a permit that would give the school an outdoor sewage lagoon.

The permit would also allow the school to drip sewage on a field above the Cumberland River’s Watershed.
