AVON, Ohio (WOIO) - Posted on a sign on her front lawn so you’d think you could find it in front of a drive-through movie theater, Jill Clements is sending a clear message today: Beat the Raptors.

“Usually we get a lot of honks when people drive by, so I’m thinking that’s showing support,” she said.

The Avon Eagles are set to face off against Cincinnati’s Anderson High School in the Division II state championship game at 7 p.m. in Canton.

“I’ve been striving for things like these,” Clements’ son and senior Jerry Clements said, “to get under the big lights, the state championships in Canton.”

Today, the Avon Eagles visited all of the city’s local schools, including the Avon Early Learning Center, before beginning their journey to the Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium.
