Bedford Police found a stray horse outside a Domino's Pizza parking lot early Wednesday morning, and the community rallied together to help her return home.

Police received reports of a horse walking in the vicinity of Route 101 in Bedford around 1 a.m. on Wednesday, a news release from the Bedford Police Department states.

Officer Nicholas Fiorentino responded and was able to corral the horse in the parking lot. He was joined by some residents who tried to keep the horse calm and comfortable, while other officers searched for her owner.

Bedford Police thanked community members for helping them take care of the horse. According to the police statement, residents provided hay, grain, and water to feed the horse, as well as a lead rope.
