LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A rising Louisville soccer standout has signed his first professional soccer contract to play in his hometown.
On Thursday, Louisville City FC announced a multi-year deal with 16-year-old LouCity Academy defender Brandon Dayes. The contract is pending league and federation approval.
“I feel super blessed with this opportunity,” Dayes, a Louisville native, said. “The coaching staff has put an amazing amount of trust in me. I think I am in the best position possible to succeed. The best is yet to come!”
Dayes was part of LouCity’s Players’ Shield winning 2025 team, playing on a USL Academy contract that preserved his amateur status, according to a news release.
