ROCKFORD, Ill. — Hard Rock Rockford is supporting a local organization whose mission is to advocate for disabled individuals.
On Thursday, the casino donated $2,000 to The Arc of Winnebago, Boone, and Ogle Counties, to support their mission of advocating for and lifting up people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.
The local Arc has been helping individuals with those disabilities for almost 60 years.
In 1966, local parents of children with Down Syndrome, autism, cerebral palsy, and other intellectual and developmental disabilities joined together to launch a local chapter of The Arc, a national organization.
The Arc of Winnebago, Boone, and Ogle Counties is located at 2820 McFarland Rd. in Rockford.
