After 21 years, longtime CBS Evening News anchor Maurice DuBois is departing from the network for good, potentially leaving the show without a replacement.
The anchor announced on Instagram that December 18, 2025, would be his last day on CBS Evening News . Despite his sudden exit, DuBois had nothing but good things to say about his time on the network. He thanked the audience for sticking with him for over two decades. He added that he was grateful for all the incredible people he met through the show during his time there, calling the whole experience an " Honor of a Lifetime ."
