LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - “A Christmas Carol” is back in Louisville with a new adaptation at Actors Theatre after being away for years.
The timeless classic based on Charles Dickens’ classic story follows the tale of Ebenezer Scrooge as he’s visited by three ghosts of Christmas past, present, and future.
Last on stage in Louisville back in 2019, audiences can find it at the Pamela Brown Auditorium from Friday, Dec. 5, until Dec. 21.
Members of the cast and crew spoke to WAVE about what makes this adaptation special ahead of a student matinee on Thursday.
“This is an adaptation that it’s our first time producing, written by Lavina Jadhwani,” said artistic director Amelia Acosta Powell. Instead of what some versions have, where you have a single narrator, or Dickens himself is narrating,
