Village Wayside Bar and Grille is slated to reopen at a new address after Tropical Storm Helene forced its closure.

Village Wayside, which was established 15 years ago, closed in the fall of 2024 after the historic Biltmore Village was submerged by the Swannanoa River's floodwaters, which rose to 27.33 feet. The restaurant had been located at 30 Lodge St. in a former train depot, constructed in the late 1800s outside of Biltmore Estate.
