LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Don’t let the milder air fool you as we close out the workweek as rain and snow move back into the region this weekend.

Fortunately, this system does not look too impactful, but more on that in a moment. Highs on Friday will climb back into the 40s statewide.

By Saturday near freezing temperatures are forecast across eastern Nebraska with a range of 18 to 46 degrees on Sunday! Talk about a brief warmup.

As our temperatures remain in the 30s Saturday, precipitation will fall as snow to the northeast and a rain/snow/mix to the southeast including Lincoln.

How much snow could we see? Well by Sunday morning 1-3″ are possible in northeastern areas with a trace to 1″ farther south and west.
