Former Florida Gators coach Billy Napier appears to have found a new job, as a report indicates James Madison University is finalizing a deal to make him their football program’s new head coach. The news arrives weeks after Florida fired Napier during his fourth season as Gators head coach.

He was 3-4 to start this season with Florida, after going 8-5 last season. In his first two seasons with the Gators, he went a combined 11-14. Following his firing, speculation intensified about other prominent football coaches who might take the Florida job, including James Franklin and Lane Kiffin.
