A proposal to operate a water taxi between San Pedro and Long Beach during the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games received a unanimous vote to move forward on Thursday by the Los Angeles Metro Board of Directors.
The author of the water taxi motion was Los Angeles County Supervisor Janice Hahh, and it was co-authored by Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, Chair Fernanda Dutra, Jaquelyn Dupont-Walker, Inglewood Mayor James Butts and Pomona Mayor Tim Sandoval.
