BOSTON —
Last year , a suspect dubbed the "Grinch of Charlestown" vandalized a popular venue in the neighborhood, forcing the business to cancel their holiday events.
"All of our electricity, our Wi-Fi, our cameras, everything was torn out," said Shelby Elwell, National Director of Programming for The Anchor Boston.
The venue serves food and drinks and host free activities through a partnership with the city.
On Dec. 4, 2o24, a suspect caused $100,000 worth of damage by tearing out electric wiring, technology, furniture, and other infrastructure, according to organizers.
As a result, all holiday events were cancelled, many of which were going to serve underprivileged children.
This year, Elwell said they're not going to let the Grinch and his crowbar ruin the holiday festivities.
