BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - A Baton Rouge woman says her used car purchase turned into a nightmare when problems began before she could even leave the dealership.
Celissa Sharp said she was trying to get out of town for a family member’s funeral when she purchased a used 2016 Ford Explorer. She said she was told the vehicle would get her where she needed to go.
“I didn’t even make it off the lot. I was trying to wait for traffic to clear for me to take a left, and the check engine light came on,” Sharp said.
Sharp traded in her old car and paid nearly $12,000 in cash for the used Explorer. She said she realized she would not make it to the funeral after all.
“Heartbroken, very heartbroken,” Sharp said.
