EVANSVILLE — A Vanderburgh County judge on Thursday sentenced a 16-year-old Evansville boy to 56 years in prison for fatally shooting 19-year-old Dalton Collins during what prosecutors described as a drug deal gone wrong.
Circuit Court Judge Ryan Hatfield handed down the sentence after a jury in November found Isam Clark guilty of murder, a Level 1 felony, and robbery resulting in serious bodily injury, a Level 2 felony. Clark faced up to 65 years in prison under Indiana law.
Hatfield ordered concurrent terms of 56 years for murder and 20 years for robbery, according to a sentencing memorandum.
