MONROE, La. (KNOE) - SJ Tuohy was welcomed to ULM campus as the newly hired Athletic Director on Thursday, December 4, 2025.

Tuohy was presented with a helmet by ULM President Dr. Carrie Castille before the press conference. Tuohy took the stage and spoke of the future of ULM sports.

“People have asked me, ‘Why ULM?’ This is a place that has a great opportunity and a great foundation to build on. It’s a place that wants to win. This is not a job where you just want to stay afloat. We’re going to build, and we’re going to grow,” said Tuohy.

Tuohy then went on to talk about bringing fun to ULM athletics and what that means going forward. “College sports are supposed to be fun. Winning matters. We’re in an outcome-driven business, but if we’re not having fun then don’t be here,” said Tuohy
