Nearly five days after a mass shooting at a two-year-old’s birthday party in Stockton killed four people and injured 13, community and state leaders are calling for long-term investment to reduce violence while the search continues for the shooter or shooters. Stockton Mayor Christina Fugazi and former Mayor Michael Tubbs met Thursday with nonprofits, faith groups, and state officials to discuss solutions, including programs that create opportunities for disconnected youth.
