MINNEAPOLIS — Some Somali business owners and voters in Minnesota are grappling with President Trump's rhetoric against their community and the ICE raids happening this week.

Amina Deble owns the restaurant called Oasis, not far from the University of Minnesota. She said her customer base is waning after Trump called the Somali community garbage, and that many people are fearful.

"I just feel like it's an embarrassment for all Americans, including us," said Deble.

The federal government is also investigating reports of fraud in the state's social services programs. They say it's been largely committed by Somali immigrants.

Data from Compass Minnesota shows there are about 80,000 of them living in Minnesota and that half are foreign-born.
