Since she didn’t have an appointment planned with any of her health care providers until January, Santa Fe resident Diana Hartley wasn’t too concerned initially when she learned last week Nexus Health was shutting down.
Hartley, a cancer survivor who moved to Santa Fe from Oklahoma in 2021 with her husband, Tim, said she assumed she would be contacted by company officials on behalf of her three Nexus Health-aligned doctors: an oncologist, a surgical oncologist and a gynecologist. She expected to be offered an explanation about what had happened, as well as some guidance on finding new providers — or to learn whether her doctors were moving to new local practices.
