LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A new economic report says the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic and Paralympic Games are expected to generate billions of dollars for the region between 2024 and 2029.
The economic analysis from the Southern California Association of Governments put the number anywhere from $13 to $17 billion.
The report cites a fiscally responsible, low-liability games with a more than $7 billion privately funded budget, and the reliance on existing facilities.
On Thursday, former L.A. Mayor Eric Garcetti recalled the city's bid for the games.
