CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - The Cleveland Division of Police is investigating a rash of car break-ins at several Cleveland Metropolitan School District buildings, including about fifteen during the school day on Wednesday at Max S. Hayes High School.
Cleveland Police said officers responded to the 2200 block of West 65th Street, where Max S. Hayes High School is located, after several break-in reports.
According to a release, district officers, detectives, and the STANCE initiative are reviewing evidence and utilizing video technology to identify and arrest those responsible.
But Max Hayes High School is not the only Cleveland school to experience car break-ins this week. Teachers and staff at five schools have walked out to find shattered glass and their cars broken into.
